Soft as a whisper and rarer than cashmere: dehaired guanaco fibre from our own herd, born and bred in the Peak District. At 12–18 microns it rivals vicuña for softness, with a buttery handle and a lofty, breathable structure.
- Softer than cashmere
- Hypoallergenic and lanolin-free
- Naturally warm, breathable and featherlight
- Perfect for hand spinning, felting and artisan textiles
Our guanaco are sheared every two years under calm, stress-free conditions. The fibre is then meticulously dehaired in Bradford to leave only the precious downy undercoat. It isn’t washed with harsh chemicals, just de-dusted and combed.
Available in two natural shades, fawn and cinnamon. Harvested in very limited quantities.
